Kids Need Chiropractic Care Too! Chiropractic Care offers your entire family, from infants, children, teens, adults, and seniors a solid foundation for wellness. Dr. Goldych is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association. She knows safe, effective, and gentle techniques that are specific for infants and children. An adjustment for a child is so gentle, most infants sleep through their adjustments. Imagine your are at the grocery store and want to check the ripeness of a tomato, so you gently squeeze it to test the firmness; this is about the amount of pressure used to adjust an infant. Adjustments on infants are usually made by holding a sustained contact with gentle pressure, or a gentle vibration. There are no known contraindications for adjusting children.
We believe all children deserve to experience life as happy healthy kids. Many parents have discovered getting their children checked and adjusted very soon after birth gives them a healthy advantage.
We acknowledge that labor and delivery can sometimes be traumatic and stressful for baby and mom. Sometimes medical interventions such as vacuum extraction, cesarean sections, induction, or other surgical procedures are utilized. Birth trauma can often be overlooked, misdiagnosed, or underestimated.
Pediatric Chiropractors are trained to detect signs of both large and subtle traumas, and their effects on a child’s developing nervous system. When small misalignments, or subluxations, add pressure or stress to the nerves or spinal cord, chiropractors gently restore proper alignment, removing interference to the nervous system, and restoring proper function.
While many parents bring their children to a chiropractor for wellness, just like the dentist, others come searching for help with health problems. In many cases, parents have reported a resolution or improvement of symptoms associated with bed-wetting, chronic ear infections, constipation, infantile colic, torticollis, scoliosis, acid-reflux, asthma, and even ADHD. Many people are curious how children improve or recover from other ailments while under chiropractic care. Chiropractic does not treat any of the conditions mentioned, it simply removes interference to the nervous system.
